The 2025 International Conference on Computing, Intelligence, and Application (CIACON 2025) is to create a dynamic platform for cross-sector dialogues and the exchange of breakthrough ideas across a variety of challenging interdisciplinary areas. Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur (An Autonomous Institute), popularly known as BCREC, was set up on 21st August, 2000, under the management of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Society. The institute is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the architect of modern West Bengal. The institute offers a variety of B. Tech programmes in engineering like CSE, IT, ECE, Computer Science and Design (CSD), CSE in AIML, EE, CSE in Data Science, CSE in Cyber Security, ME and CE, and also offers programmes like M.Tech, MBA and MCA. The institute has earned NBA accreditation for B.Tech CSE, IT, EE, ECE and ME disciplines and is also accredited by NAAC.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at Dr. B C Roy Engineering College has been a cornerstone of the institute since its inception in 2000. Accredited by the NBA four times, most recently for the period 2023–2026, the department delivers outcome-based education through its B.Tech and M.Tech programmes, with annual intakes of 180 and 18 students, respectively.
